In our last article, we introduced how you can create s-curves easily for project reporting in Project Tracker. In March, Willmer Ltd. released the latest version of Project Tracker Ver. 3, featuring new Earned Value Reporting and Project Dashboards. Other great new features include Project Quality Reports, Project Text Reports, and improved Gantt Chart functionality.

We’ll cover the new features of release 3:
EARNED VALUE REPORTING
- Show S-curve for Actual Cost, Forecast at Completion, Earned Value and Planned Value.
- You can choose to show Earned Value based on Cost, Duration, Physical % Complete or Resource.
- Data table values for Earned Value (EV), Schedule Variance (SV), Cost Variance (CV), Schedule Performance Index (SPI), and Cost Performance Index (CPI).
TEXT-BASED PROGRESS REPORT – SWITCH TO AN EARNED VALUE REPORT
- If Earned Value S-Curves are not selected, then the editable text-based Progress Report provides sections for Summary Progress, Target at Completion, S-Curve Analysis, Project Growth, Project Slippage and Progress to Date.
- If Earned Value S-Curves are turned on then the Progress Report switches into an Earned Value Management Report.
- These reports can be edited and easily printed.
TREND LINES
- Trend Line Curves on Cost, Duration, Physical % Complete and Resource.
- Trend Lines can be scaled for Day, Week, or Month.
PROJECT DASHBOARD
- Pie chart dashboards on Activity Start Dates, Activity Finish Dates, Duration Status, Progress Status, Work Status and Cost Status.
- Individual dashboards can be clicked on to bring up detailed Activity Text Reports.
- Dashboards can be copied to the clipboard and then pasted into MS Word, MS Excel, or any other programs.
- Dashboards can be easily printed.
PROJECT QUALITY REPORTS/DASHBOARDS
- Dashboards for Missing Baselines, Missing Predecessors, Missing Successors, No Resources, Duration Sensitivity, and Total Float Sensitivity.
- Individual dashboards can be clicked on to bring up detailed Activity Text Reports.
- Dashboards can be copied to the clipboard and pasted into MS Word, MS Excel, or any other programs.
- Dashboards can be easily printed.
PROJECT TEXT REPORTS
- Activity Reports with a table of columns that can be filtered on Tasks.
IMPROVED GANTT CHART
- The Gantt Chart under the S-Curve can now be Grouped by WBS that can be rolled up to show summary bars.
- Start and Finish Columns are added in the table.
- Toggle to Show Status as on/off to colour code the activities.
- Red = Activities that are behind schedule.
- Green = Activities that are ahead of schedule.
- Yellow = Activities that are on time.
